The Selvapiana estate, owned by the Giuntini Masseti family since 1827, lies in the Sieve Valley northeast of Florence. Cooled by mountain breezes from the Apennines, it is one of Tuscany’s most distinctive regions for growing olives.
Selvapiana extra virgin olive oil is made mainly from late-ripening Frantoio olives, harvested green at 250–300 metres above sea level. Pressed using modern stainless steel equipment and settled in a mix of terracotta orci and steel, the oil retains its vivid colour and freshness.
The result is a beautifully green, viscous oil with aromas of artichoke, fresh grass, and green tomato. On the palate it shows purity, intensity, and a lively peppery finish—one of Tuscany’s most expressive and elegant oils.
