The Poggiotondo estate spans 70 hectares on the western hills of the Chianti region. Owner and winemaker Alberto Antonini crafts both his wines and olive oil in a modern style while staying true to the distinctive character of the Chianti terroir. Poggiotondo’s extra virgin olive oil is made from Frantoio and Mignola olives, the latter a rare variety grown exclusively around Cerreto Guidi, yielding an oil with remarkable intensity and aromatic depth.
