Fèlsina Berardenga is a 470-hectare estate located northeast of Siena in the commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga, on the southern edge of Chianti Classico. The estate exemplifies the powerful style typical of southern Chianti, with wines that are often closer in style to those from Montalcino than to neighboring producers like Fontodi or Isole e Olena. Giuseppe Mazzocolin managed the estate from the late 1970s until 2011 and remains involved in a reduced capacity, while consultant oenologist Franco Bernabei now leads the winemaking team.
